16A What's Your Secret Sauce?

Well, I've always found myself to be the odd ball in the room since I was young. I have good and bad qualities. I've worked on the bad and sometimes slacked off the good. One way that makes me different is that I'm very open-minded. Yes, a lot of people say that they are open-minded, but I believe I am a bit more extreme open-minded. It's something I'm proud of since I was young. When I was younger I used to be extremely shy and wanted to make friends. It was odd to make the first move to talk to someone if you wanted them to be your friend or just play with you at recess. Normally, kids are friends because of their family, group projects, sport teams, or they sit next to each other in class. One day I thought, if I'm having this mindset that it's scary to talk to someone first to be your friend, then others are thinking the same. 15A Figuring Out Buyer Behavior

After interviewing multiple people about this subject matter... I eventually came to figuring out buyer behavior. I interviewed 3 people that shared common opinions. Some different and equal, but overall the same mentality. I all asked them since there isnt a close to campus, affordable, quick, and healthy restaurant, what do they do as an alternative? Nearly, all of them mentioned the alternatives that I used previously as cons for not having my business. Interview A mentioned her alternative is to just go out of her way to Vale or Bolay to get food. She usually goes to Vale because of smoothies and acai bowls. She said that price doesn't really matter because it's going on her parents credit card, but also she is paying for the quality and benefits of the food. Which leads to yes, the quality of the product does matter. Interview B had the same thought and actions as Interview A. 14A Halfway Reflection

1)  Tenaciousness is a competency.  What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course? Like every other college student, I've had my ups and downs. One day I'll be so lazy to do the coursework for this class, but other days I'm productive. Behaviors I've used to keep up with the requirements of this course is to write all my assignments due dates on my laptops 'sticky notes,' my phones calendar, push myself to complete them, and remind myself I need to get an A in this class. I also make sure I follow the syllabus requirements for the word count in my blog posts and commenting on someones. 2)  Tenaciousness is also about attitude.  Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." 13A Reading Reflection No. 1

1) You read about an entrepreneur: I read about Elon Musk! What surprised you the most? I already knew a little bit of Elon Musk from past newspaper articles because I've always been fascinated with how his brain works. What surprised me the most was his childhood. I didn't know how he was raised and his families history. It was super interesting to hear where his family came from, how his parents met, and what him and his siblings went through with their father. What about the entrepreneur did you most admire? What I admired the most out of Elon is that he never gives up. It could be the most unrealistic thing in the world and he will still try his hardest to make it realistic. That is pure dedication right there. Also how fast his brain works... he finished  a whole basic computer programming book in 3 days when it normally would've taken someone 6 months. 12A Figuring Out Buyer Behavior

1)  Pick a segment.  In class, we have discussed how you might intuit the existence of segments that might exist in your venture's market. For this exercise, you must pick one segment.   I have picked the segment on UF students that are health conscious and see what they do for health restaurants. 2)  Find three people who would fit that segment and arrange to interview them.  These interviews, if conducted properly, should take about 10-15 minutes. Any less, and you won't be able to obtain adequate information.  I am interviewing 3 of my roommates that rarely work out, but are super health-conscious. 3)  Begin with need awareness.  In earlier exercises, you have identified an unmet need and developed a solution. If the person you are talking to does not have the same unmet, then you need to move on. You may not include this as one of your three interviews. 9A Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

Who:  Are there certain people or certain businesses that, although they share a lot in common with the others in your opportunity, nevertheless fall outside the boundary? Why? Yes, there are certain people that fall outside the boundary even if they share a lot in common with the others in my opportunity. All of my roommates in Madrid get along and have the same interests. When I interviewed them, they all agreed with healthy eating. However, only 3 of them made it a priority because they work out and study everyday back at UF. My other 6 roommates mentioned that they enjoy and picking health-conscious food, but they don't work out or are not as busy in school to have the need. 8A Solving The Problem

The selected opportunity I chose is that fast health food restaurants from UF campus, are unable to offer students easy, quick, healthy, beneficial food because they're 10-15 minute driving distance away from them. I chose this because I know lots of people are trying to eat healthy in a affordable and convenient way. No body is trying to drive 15 minutes down Archer Road and Butler Plaza to access these health benefits. Life would be easier if it was walking distance like Midtown. Being a student takes time, and especially if you want to succeed. Integrating lunch time is difficult, and most students would want something that could benefit their brains to keep them thriving. What UF students need is a quick and affordable health restaurant. The product/service I have chosen is to open up a health restaurant that serves just that.
