11A Idea Napkin No. 1
1) You. Who you are. What your talents are. What your skills and experiences are. Also: what are your aspirations? Specifically regarding your business concept, how do you see this business (if you were to start it) playing a role in your life?
I am Jennifer Ronderos. My talents are thinking outside of the box, maintaining a healthy life style, and gymnastics. My skills and experiences are small, but include: people, cooking, traveling to other countries to see their lifestyle, and mainly personal experiences. My aspirations is to live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. If I were to start this business, I see it playing a role in my life. This business would take over my life because I would be so dedicated into putting the time and effort to deliver its best to the people.
2) What are you offering to customers? Describe the product or service (in other words, how you'll solve customers' unmet needs).
The service will be offering UF students a healthy, quick, affordable, and close to campus health restaurant that offers cold-pressed juices to healthy meals of all day. This will solve a customers' unmet needs because a UF student can fuel their bodies to keep their day going at a near campus restaurant.
3) Who are you offering it to? Describe, in as much detail as possible, the demographic and psychographic characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do your customers all have in common?
I am offering this service to UF students that come from all demographic and psychographic characteristics. However, I hit two specific groups that will come to my service everyday. What most of my customers have in common is being UF students that are health-conscious and/or bodybuilding.
4) Why do they care? Your solution is only valuable insofar as customers believe its valuable to them. Here, explain why customers will actually pay you money to use your product or service.
Customers will actually pay me more money to use my services because healthy food makes your body feel good. Once your body is exposed to healthy food, your mood changes. Even the way your body feels changes. You feel more 'clean' and this is an addicting feeling. Once customers expose their bodies to quality health food, they'll want more.
5) What are your core competencies? What sets you apart from everyone else? Also: what do you have that nobody else has?
What sets me apart from everyone else that I am focusing on a big portion of UF students and something that Midtown doesn't offer. I am offering something that can make a UF students body feel ecstatic. I am offering a service that fits a UF students busy schedule. I am thinking about everyday students lives and bodies for the greater good. That is what I have that nobody else does.
After answering these questions, I have evaluated my elements. I believe these elements fit very well together and can really get my business to flow. Even though it mainly targets health-conscious and body-building groups, all normal students get in the mood to eat something "healthy," because they want to feel cleansed. If more students have the option of my business, they would pick it over any quick junky any day.
Hello Jenny, I think you did a great job on your idea napkin. You identified which segment you are marketing to and how you can help them. I really like your idea because it not only fixes a big issue that a lot of UF students have but you are also going to be running a healthy stand making students have a better diet. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your blog post. You do a great job of introducing yourself in the first section and your qualification listing is very subtle, but efficient. The unmet need should be listed as that there is no such service in the vicinity of UF for students to get your cold-pressed juices (which sound great this time of year). Overall, the post fulfills all of the requirements and only the one recommendation for improvement.
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI think you have a really great idea and an even better mentality towards the idea in general. I agree with you that once you're exposed to healthy foods, it changes your mood! I think today and everyday is very important to promote a healthy lifestyle, especially for self-confidence with our bodies, and health. Great job!
Hi, Jennifer Ronderos!
ReplyDeleteI think the fact that you are a gymnast will be of great help in your entrepreneur life. To have self-control and a disciplined mindset are very important in this industry. I am glad you are trying to do something proactive to meet the needs of UF students who are seeking healthy foods to make them feel better about themselves inside and out!
