19A Idea Napkin No.2
This is from my Idea Napkin No. 1 Post, but now adjusted to reflect the feedback I've received:
1) You. Who you are. What your talents are. What your skills and experiences are. Also: what are your aspirations? Specifically regarding your business concept, how do you see this business (if you were to start it) playing a role in your life?
I am Jennifer Ronderos. My talents are thinking outside of the box, maintaining a healthy life style, and gymnastics. My skills and experiences are small, but include: people, cooking, traveling to other countries to see their lifestyle, and mainly personal experiences. My aspirations is to live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. If I were to start this business, I see it playing a role in my life. This business would take over my life because I would be so dedicated into putting the time and effort to deliver its best to the people.
2) What are you offering to customers? Describe the product or service (in other words, how you'll solve customers' unmet needs).
The service will be offering UF students/Gainesville residents a healthy, quick, affordable, and close to campus health restaurant that offers cold-pressed juices to healthy meals of all day. This will solve a customers' unmet needs because a UF student can fuel their bodies to keep their day going at a near campus restaurant.
3) Who are you offering it to? Describe, in as much detail as possible, the demographic and psychographic characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do your customers all have in common?
I am offering this service to UF students/Gainesville residents that come from all demographic and psychographic characteristics. However, I hit two specific groups that will come to my service everyday. What most of my customers have in common is being UF students/Gainesville residents that are health-conscious and/or bodybuilding.
4) Why do they care? Your solution is only valuable insofar as customers believe its valuable to them. Here, explain why customers will actually pay you money to use your product or service.
Customers will actually pay me more money to use my services because healthy food makes your body feel good. Once your body is exposed to healthy food, your mood changes. Even the way your body feels changes. You feel more 'clean' and this is an addicting feeling. Once customers expose their bodies to quality health food, they'll want more.
5) What are your core competencies? What sets you apart from everyone else? Also: what do you have that nobody else has?
What sets me apart from everyone else that I am focusing on a big portion of UF students/Gainesville residents and something that Midtown doesn't offer. I am offering something that can make a UF students/Gainesville residents body feel ecstatic. I am offering a service that fits a UF students busy schedule. I am thinking about everyday students lives and bodies for the greater good. That is what I have that nobody else does.
I believe these five elements fit together and are aspects of my business concept that do not make it weaker / out-of-joint with the others. Because every single element contributes to making this business grow and succeed. The service is addicting for people because the way health feels for them. In order to ruin a positive business goal and environment like this, it must be someone who is open-minded and thinks outside of the box, and that understands the way our bodies feel once we expose it to health.
For my feedback memo, I will be summarizing the one point that I took away from the feedback I've received. The feedback is not only applying my business to UF students, but also to the general population of Gainesville. I incorporated my feedback into this idea napkin by putting in the Gainesville residents, but my business still mainly focuses on students.
Hello Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteGreat Job with your revisions to your idea napkin. From what I remember Gainesville seems to be a very health conscious population so I think a pressed juice and health food establishment would do really well in the area. If there are none close to campus that would give you an advantage to the competitors that are located further away. People tend to like customizable drinks/food so that may also be something to consider.
