23A Your Venture's Unfair Advantage

A list of resources in my venture:

1. Human Capital
Since this will be on a college campus, most employers would be college students working for the money to help their personal or educational needs.
Valuable: It is pretty valuable because it helps students
Rare: I don't think it's pretty rare because lots of restaurants on college campuses hire students
Inimitable: It is not hard to copy by others, unless they're not on a college campus
Non-substitutable: There are other resources that can provide the same benefits, such as if they want to work at another restaurant.

2. Cooperation
Being able to work with others
Valuable: This is very valuable because cooperation is important
Rare: This isn't rare because every work place needs to be able to cooperate with each other in order to function
Inimitable: Not difficult to copy by others
Non-substitutable: There are other resources that can provide the same benefits, but this would provide more benefits such as positivity and understandment. 

3. Financial Capital
Using the money to purchase fresh, healthy, and organic foods. Also, to keep the restaurant clean, modern, and efficient. 
Valuable: Very valuable, this will bring customers in
Rare: Pretty rare, these types of foods are usually expensive to buy.
Inimitable: Not difficult to copy by others
Non-substitutable: Non-organic foods can provide the same benefits of taste

4. Knowledge
Knowing how to cook, how management works, how to gain customers, etc
Valuable: This is valuable. You need this in order for your business to operate.
Rare: Not rare, its common for business owners.
Inimitable: Difficult because it could be stressful
Non-substitutable: Other resources can't provide the same benefits.

5. Experience
Knowing about nutrition
Valuable: This is valuable because I need to know this information in order to follow my businesses values
Rare: Not that rare, I feel like lots of people that want to open restaurants that surround health are educated in nutrition.
Inimitable: A little difficult because you need to actually sit down and learn the material.
Non-substitutable: Other resources cant provide the same benefits.

6. Uniqueness of Venture

Valuable: Very valuable for college campuses

Inimitable: Not difficult
Non-substitutable: Other resources cant provide the same benefits

7. Personality
Knowing how to be nice and polite to customers and having a positive attitude
Valuable: Extremely valuable
Rare: A little rare, not everyone has a good personality.
Inimitable: Not difficult
Non-substitutable: Other resources can provide the same

8. Organizational Culture
Knowing types of values and beliefs to move forward
Valuable: Yes
Rare: I think
Inimitable: Not difficult
Non-substitutable: Other resources cant provide the same

9. Passion
You need to at least like what you're doing
Valuable: Yes
Rare: Yes
Inimitable: Yes, hard to copy
Non-substitutable: Other resources can provide the same

10. Social Media
This is important for marketing your business
Valuable: Yes
Rare: No
Inimitable: No
Non-substitutable: Other resources can provide the same



My top resource is Knowledge. It is the most important of my venture than all the other resources I've listed. Because you need to know knowledge in order for the business to function.
